<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for decomposing nitrous oxide, which exhibits high activity even at low temperature and decomposes/removes N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O efficiently without being affected by CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>even when CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>is contained in nitrous oxide-containing gas and to provide a method for cleaning the nitrous oxide-containing gas by using the catalyst for decomposing nitrous oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for decomposing nitrous oxide is used for decomposing the nitrous oxide in the gas containing both of carbon dioxide and the nitrous oxide, contains cobalt oxide, cesium and/or rubidium and has 0.0005-0.05 molar ratio of the total of cesium and rubidium to cobalt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
