<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrochemical capacitor which is superior in energy density and can also enhance charge and discharge cycle durability. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrochemical capacitor comprises: a positive electrode unit 8 provided with a positive electrode 2 containing a polarizable carbon material and a positive electrode current collector 3 which is brought into contact with the positive electrode 2 and contains aluminum; a negative electrode unit 9 provided with a negative electrode 4 which faces the positive electrode 2 and contains a material capable of occluding/releasing a lithium ion reversibly, and a negative electrode current collector 5 which is brought into contact with the negative electrode 4; and a cell bath 10 for accommodating the positive electrode unit 8 and the negative electrode unit 9. The method comprises: a step of injecting a first electrolyte containing a lithium ion into the cell bath 10 so as to immerse the positive electrode unit 8 and the negative electrode unit 9; a step of applying a voltage to the positive electrode 2 and the negative electrode 4 to subject the electrodes to electrochemical activation treatment; and a step of injecting a second electrolyte containing LiBF<SB POS="POST">4</SB>into the cell bath 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
