<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable each salesclerk to share an image taken at the time of reading a commodity. <P>SOLUTION: A code reader 101 detects a code symbol attached to a commodity included in an image taken and reads code information corresponding to the code symbol (S4). The code reader 101 also outputs the read code information and the image taken (S5). A POS terminal 11 sets a salesclerk who registers sales of the commodity (S10) and registers the sales of the commodity based on the output code information (S12).
