<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine that reliably prevents fraud on a hopper unit even if the distance from a token discharge slot to a token receiving slot is shortened. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of reinforcing ribs 62, 63 that cross each other are provided around the token receiving slot, i.e., an opening for receiving tokens from a token hopper, to form a plurality of cylindrical parts 64. One of the cylindrical parts 64 is used as a token passage 64A for guiding tokens to the token receiving slot, and the remaining cylindrical parts 64 are used as dummy passages 64B closed at ends. Thus, even if a slender instrument such as wire gauge is inserted from the token discharge slot 6B, it is caught by the dummy passage 64B closed at its end and cannot move further and cannot reach the token receiving slot regardless of the distance from the token discharge slot 6B to the token receiving slot.
