<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system for discriminating whether a temperature sensor provided at a distal end of an insertion portion functions normally or not. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope system 11 comprises an electronic endoscope 12, a processor device 13 having a measuring part 41 and a discriminating part 42, a light source device 14, or the like. The electronic endoscope 12 has the temperature sensor 30 and a CMOS sensor 21 at the distal end portion 20 of the insertion portion inserted into a subject. The measuring part 41 measures a CMOS temperature by using the temperature sensor 30. The light source device 14 emits illuminating light generated at a light source 45 to the inside of the subject from the distal end portion 20 through a light guide 28 or the like. The discriminating part 42 acquires the CMOS temperature while increasing the temperature of the distal end portion 20 by emitting illuminating light for discrimination of a prescribed condition from the light source device 14 at the activation of the electronic endoscope system 11 and discriminates whether the temperature sensor 30 normally functions or not based on the change in the CMOS temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
