<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of stably detecting and canceling a flicker, without incorrect decision thereof, produced under fluorescent light illumination in an imaging device having different video signal storage timing in a screen, even in a case of imaging a moving object or in a place having a lot of noises (imaging in a dark place etc.) <P>SOLUTION: Video signals in an arbitrary range of the screen are integrated on each frame period basis, and each integration value in a present frame is successively compared with an integration value in one frame before, so as to perform pattern decision whether a pattern having a varied integration value coincides with one of flicker patterns produced when flickers occur. If an identical flicker pattern consecutively appears for at least two times, a flicker is decided to be existent. Further, preferably, by performing the decision for a plurality of points of the screen, flicker existence is decided when points decided to have flickers exceed half of the entire decision points in number. On deciding the flicker existence, a signal storage time of the imaging device is controlled, and the flicker is canceled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
