<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle instrument realizing different scale lengths for display between day and night without increasing the cost. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle instrument includes: a facing member ring 1 continuously and integrally formed with a facing member 40; a dial scale 3 formed in a semi-circular shape on a dial 4 inside the facing member ring 1; a plurality of cutout scales radially formed on an outer periphery of the dial scale 3 as cutout portions of the ring member 1; and a light transmission part positioned at bottom parts of each cutout scale 2 for allowing light from an illumination source to pass internally to the cutout scale 2. This allows the light from the illumination source transmitting through the light transmission part to transmit internally to the cutout scale 2, causing the cutout scale 2 to stand out and emit light as an extension of the dial scale 3.
