CONTINUOUS PROCESS FOR PREPARING NANODISPERSION USING ULTRASONIC FLOW-THROUGH HEAT EXCHANGER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process capable of preparing nanodispersions at large scale.

SOLUTION: The continuous process for preparing nanodispersions that can be scaled up includes: heating a composition comprising a liquid and a solute to dissolution of the solute; directing the heated solution through a continuous tube wherein the continuous tube has a first end for receiving the solution, a continuous flow-through passageway disposed in an ultrasonic heat exchanger, and a second end for discharging a product stream; and treating the heated solution by irradiating with ultrasound and cooling at the same time to form the product stream comprising nanometer size particles in the liquid.
