<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intracardiac defibrillation catheter that, when inserted into the cardiac chamber, its tip can be easily brought to the opening of the coronary sinus at the inner wall of the right atrium, and after its insertion, its electrode groups can easily contact or come near the anterior inner wall of the right atrium. <P>SOLUTION: The defibrillation catheter includes a catheter tube 10, a handle 20, a first DC electrode group 31G and a second DC electrode group 32G. It executes defibrillation in the heart chamber by applying voltage with mutually different polarities between the first DC and second DC electrode groups 31G and 32G. At the end region of the catheter tube 10, are formed the first curve 101 on the leading end of the first DC electrode group 31G and also an S-shaped second curve 103 on a plane crossing the plane containing the first curve on the base end side from the second DC electrode group 32G.
