<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a shaft and a main pipe to be rotated without using a bearing. <P>SOLUTION: In a rotary joint 10, a main pipe 12 and a housing 16 fastened to each other are rotatable with respect to an inner pipe 14 and a shaft 18 fastened to each other. Then, the liquid pressure acting on the shaft 18 and the inner pipe 14 is made to act as an axial force generated by the internal pressure between an O-ring 32 and an O-ring 58, while an axial force in the opposite direction to the axial force generated by the internal pressure is made to act as an axial force generated by the internal pressure of an O-ring 44. Thereby, the axial force generated by the internal pressure effected by the O-ring 32 and the O-ring 58, and the axial force generated by the internal pressure effected by the O-ring 44 act in opposite directions to each other. Thereby reducing a rotational load of the main pipe 12 and the housing 16 on the shaft 18 and the inner pipe 14. Thus, the main pipe 12 and the housing 16 allow to rotate with respect to the shaft 18 and the inner pipe 14 without using a bearing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
