<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information code reader capable of suppressing multiple reading of an information code. <P>SOLUTION: An information code reader of an embodiment comprises: an image information reading unit for reading taken image information; an image extraction unit for extracting an image corresponding to an information code attached to a commodity from the read image information; a determination unit for determining the image as ineffective when a first extracted position of the extracted image is in a first range, and determining the image as effective when the first extracted position is in a second range different from the first range; and an information code reading unit for reading the information code corresponding to the extracted image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
