<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a shorter work period and a reduced work cost for operating and carrying a drill machine for a falling-rock prevention fence post by using a trolley on an engaging rail which can be placed without leveling the mountain side of a slope where rock falling is predicted. <P>SOLUTION: A method for drilling a hole for a falling-rock prevention fence post comprises: placing a rail on a slope to a destination where rock falling is predicted, the rail provided with a rack; proceeding on the rail to the destination on a trolley loaded with a drilling machine, materials and personnel; and drilling a hole for a falling-rock prevention fence post by operating the drilling machine at the destination. In the method, the trolley comprises a carriage for mounting thereon the drilling machine, materials and personnel, and a tow vehicle for towing the carriage with a forcibly rotated pinion meshed with the rack on the rails. Further, the tow vehicle and carriage proceeds on a single rail supported by support stakes driven into the ground up to the destination or nearby there, while at the destination, beside the rails, one or two of second rails are placed for a wheel(s) of the carriage to stand thereon, and with the drilling machine mounted on the carriage on the both rails, the drilling machine is operated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
