<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise sale data processor capable of easily recognizing a discount amount divided proportionally into returned merchandise when the merchandise being a component of an M&M discount combination pattern is returned. <P>SOLUTION: When the M&M discount combination pattern is established by each merchandise corresponding to each sale data stored in sale data storing means, a proportional division discount amount obtained by proportionally dividing a discount amount of the M&M discount is calculated in accordance with the unit cost ratio of each merchandise. A transaction history including the sale data and the proportional division discount amount stored in the sale data storing means is stored in history storing means about a transaction subjected to adjustment processing.
