PURPOSE: A stereophonic sound output method in a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal using the same are provided to output an effective 3D stereophonic sound by a viewer location who is watching a displayed image. CONSTITUTION: A distance sensor(143) measures the distance between a mobile terminal(100) and a user. A camera(121) acquires an image of the user who is watching an image. At least two or more sound output modules(152) are separated from one side of a display unit at a fixed distance. A control unit(180) controls at least two or more sound output modules by a measured distance or a watching direction of the user measured by the camera.
