<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption due to pre-charge potential supply. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of pixels PIX is disposed corresponding to each intersection between a plurality of scanning lines 12 and a plurality of signal lines 14 and displays gradations corresponding to electrical potentials of the plurality of signal lines 14 when the plurality of scanning lines 12 is selected. A scanning line driving circuit 22 sequentially selects each of the plurality of scanning lines 12 for each unit period U. A signal supply circuit 24 supplies gradation potential VG corresponding to a specified gradation of the each pixel PIX to each signal line 14 in a writing period TWRT during the each unit period U. The signal supply circuit 24 supplies a pre-charge potential VPRE to the each signal line 14 in a pre-charge period TPRE before the writing period TWRT starts during each unit period U1 of a plurality of unit periods U, and stops supplying the pre-charge potential VPRE to the each signal line 14 during each unit period U2 different from the unit period U1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
