<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can reduce pseudo contour while suppressing the increase in the number of sub-frames. <P>SOLUTION: A display device expresses grayscale by dividing one frame into plural sub-frames. The plural sub-frames include M (M is an integer of 2 or more) normal sub-frames necessary for expressing predetermined grayscale and further include N (N is a natural number) additional sub-frames. At least the following two sub-frame lighting patterns are set: a first sub-frame lighting pattern in which only the normal sub-frame is used with respect to at least one grayscale number among the predetermined grayscale and a second sub-frame lighting pattern in which the additional sub-frame and the normal sub-frame are used with respect to at least one grayscale number among the predetermined grayscale. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
