<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device and an information display method, capable of attracting customers and promoting sales using a display area to the utmost extent. <P>SOLUTION: In an eye-catching mode, an LED controller 18 receives LED display data to represent an eye-catching pattern which is generated by an control part 11 based on LED display size data 136, back light position data 137, and back light color data 138 stored in a nonvolatile memory 13 from the control part 11, controls brightness of each LED of a back light 17, and displays the eye-catching pattern on an eye-catching part 151 of a liquid crystal display 15. According to instructions from the control part 11, a liquid crystal controller 16 displays image data 133 stored in the nonvolatile memory 13 in a fixed mode and condensed data 122 stored in a volatile memory 12 in a condensed mode, respectively on a stationary part 152 of the liquid crystal display 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
