<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical functional film capable of effectively preventing generation of foam upon lamination, and preferably preventing breakage of a carrier film, and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device using the film. <P>SOLUTION: The optical functional film is a belt type film to be used for a process of cutting the optical functional film, which is laminated with a carrier film, at a predetermined interval without cutting the carrier film, then while inverting the carrier film with an edge member to peel the optical functional film, laminating an exposed face of the optical functional film to a sheet material. The carrier film shows flexural stiffness per unit length in a longitudinal direction of the film of 5.0×10<SP POS="POST">-5</SP>Nmm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or more and 8.0×10<SP POS="POST">-2</SP>Nmm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or less, and a modulus of longitudinal elasticity in the longitudinal direction of 3000 MPa or more and 5000 MPa or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
