<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear reactor fuel soundness monitor capable of measuring the concentration of a specific radioactive nuclide contained in a coolant or dissolved gas of an nuclear reactor which are periodically collected from sample collection points without manual intervention of an operator. <P>SOLUTION: The nuclear reactor fuel soundness monitor includes: a gamma-ray detector which detects gamma-rays of the specific radioactive nuclide of the media to be measured in the nuclear reactor; a sample container which holds the media to be measured inside and surrounds the periphery of the gamma-ray detector; and a measurement control device which controls the taking of a certain amount of the media to be measured in the sample container, and calculates gamma-ray data per unit time detected by the gamma-ray detector and the concentration of the specific radioactive nuclide from volume of the media to be measured taken in the sample container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
