<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that improves heat insulation effect of a vacuum heat insulation material by reducing heat dissipation due to heat bridge from an edge part of the heat insulation material. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes a tank and the vacuum heat insulation materials 1a, 1b arranged outside the tank. The vacuum heat insulation material is composed of a core material and a wrapping material which wraps the core material in a vacuum state. The wrapping material circumferentially has a hermetically sealing part for hermetically sealing the core material. The vacuum heat insulation material is arranged outside the tank while the hermetically sealing part is folded to the core material side. Covering heat insulation materials 2a to 2g composed of material different from the vacuum heat insulation material are arranged so as to at least cover the edge part of the vacuum heat insulation material in which the hermetically sealing part is folded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
