<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic light guide which allows a secondary light source of a large light emitting area to be formed even when using a small-diameter optical fiber and allows class of safety standard of laser beam to be lowered, and to provide an endoscope having the endoscopic light guide. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscopic light guide for guiding illumination light to an observation target includes: an optical fiber 11a; and a radiation mode inducing means (T, 64) for causing propagation mode light L1 to make side face radiation in the vicinity of an output facet of the optical fiber 11a, thereby converting the propagation mode light L1 to a radiation mode light L2 such that the radiation mode light L2 can be utilized as the illumination light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
