<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable identifying an initiation frame to a self-node in a communication system capable of independently waking up a node in a sleep mode without increasing power consumption of the node in the sleep mode. <P>SOLUTION: An initiation frame detector 17 monitors a communication path LN via a comparator CP2 of a receiver 16, recognizes, as an initiation frame, a frame in which the number of count edges in an initiation pattern region coincides with the number of initiation times, and changes an indiscriminate wake-up signal WA to an active level.
