PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press belt with which the generation of crack in a region corresponding to both edges positioned in accordance with both edges in the width direction of a pressurizing member such as a press roll or a pressurizing shoe can be effectively suppressed.

SOLUTION: A press belt 2 is formed such that a step is formed between the outer circumference surface of the region corresponding to both edges and the outer circumference surface of the central region so that the thickness of the region B corresponding to both edges positioned in accordance with both edges of the width direction of a press roll 1 or a pressurizing shoe 3 is smaller than that of the central region A. The outer circumference surface of the region B corresponding to both edges is finished such that the depth of the processing scratch is equal to or less than 10 μm.
