<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device carrying out proxy reception mutually with another device, and capable of normally receiving even when carrying out communication limited to reception from a specified transmission source. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 1, which is a communication device, comprises a communicating portion 24 to which a line for communicating with a facsimile device 100, which is another communication device, is connected; a memory portion 23 storing determination information of receiving propriety during its own reception, and determination information of receiving propriety during the reception of the facsimile device 100; and a control portion 21 executing the determination of the receiving propriety by making the determination information of the receiving propriety in the facsimile device 100 stored in the memory portion 23 effective when determining the receiving propriety of its own reception, under a condition that a notice of reception impossibility is received from the facsimile device 100 through the communicating portion 24.
