<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a display element scarcely causing contamination of liquid substance by sealant or insertion of the liquid substance into the sealant when sealing the liquid substance. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the display element having the liquid substance between upper/lower substrates includes: a step 1 for applying the sealant containing hardening resin, photoreaction initiator, and spacer particles along the sides of one substrate of the upper/lower substrates and forming a frame-like pattern; a step 2 for applying light to the sealant that is applied to the one substrate in the step 1 and temporarily hardening the sealant; a step 3 for filling the frame-like pattern by the sealant temporarily hardened in the step 2 with the liquid substance and sticking the one substrate and the other substrate of the upper/lower substrates via the sealant; and a step 4 for applying the light to the substrates stuck in the step 3 to harden the sealant in full scale. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
