<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use cache data in a cache device if the detached cache device is attached again. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing unit comprises: a memory; detachment request detection means; setting means; and invalidation means. The memory stores therein cache management information in which information for managing cache data stored in a cache device is described. The detachment request detection means detects a detachment request of the cache device. The setting means sets a non-cache mode to interrupt use of the cache device as a cache if the detachment request is detected. The invalidation means invalidates information associated with first cache data corresponding to first data in the cache management information if the first data is written into a storage device in the non-cache mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
