Provided is a pedal manipulation-amount detection apparatus, wherein, upon detecting stepping-on manipulation force on the basis of deformation of a sensor member arranged between a pedal arm and an output member, the detection precision and durability of the apparatus are improved. In the pedal manipulation-amount detection apparatus (10), a sensor member (30) is arranged on a side face of a pedal arm (18) with a pair of support pins (32, 34) interposed therebetween, linked to an operating rod (22) (output member) with a clevis pin (26) interposed therebetween, and deformation of the sensor member (30) is detected by a deformation detecting means (52) such as a strain gage. A manipulation input section upon which the stepping-on manipulation force is applied, and a reaction force applying section to which reaction force (R) is applied, are positioned so as to be superimposed with each other in a direction parallel to a support axis (O). In such a way, unbalanced load due to offset (deviation in position) in the direction parallel to the support axis (O) is inhibited, the posture and deformed shape of the sensor member (30) are stabilized, unbalanced abrasion at a rotating-sliding section is inhibited, and detection precision and durability are improved. |
