The method involves transferring determined actual-torque of drives (9-11) e.g. reluctance stepper motors, of wall elements (2-4) to a central control (23). The wall elements are displaced in a common running rail (5). The transmitted actual-torque is evaluated, and reference torques (27-29) are determined and transmitted to state control units (20-22) of each drive. The reference-torque of each drive is determined by the control so that adhering frictional force between drive rollers (6-8) and the running rail is larger than drive force. The drives are coupled to the rail by the rollers.
