The invention relates to a window device (2) for a motor vehicle, including: a window frame (5, 6, 7, 8); a stationary glass panel (3) inserted into the window frame; and a mobile glass panel (4) which can move between a first closed end position (A) and a second open end position (B), which is guided by a guide member (13) at the top portion thereof and a guide member (9) at the bottom portion thereof, and which at least partially covers the stationary glass panel in the open end position. The invention is characterised in that the bottom guide member (9) is concealed inside a shell (10) of a bodywork element (1).
