PURPOSE: An image processing apparatus and an image processing method are provided to synthesize a WB processed image corresponding to flash light and a WB processed image corresponding to external light by the composition ratio of each block. CONSTITUTION: A WB(White Balance) control unit divides an image in to a plurality of clocks(S501). The WB control unit calculates a color average value and a color estimation value(S502). If the color estimation value exists in a white detection range, the WB control unit adds the color average value(S503,S504). If the process for all blocks are completed, the WB control unit calculates the first WB compensation value of the determined color estimation value(S505,S506). |
