<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time needed for tracking an optimum opening of an electronic expansion valve at change of an operation capacity or an operation start in a multi-air conditioner system, and a valve opening control method for the multi-air conditioner used for both cooling and heating with a plurality of indoor units connected to one outdoor unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the control method for the multi-air conditioner system having the plurality of indoor units, and the electronic expansion valve adjusting a degree of superheat and a degree of supercooling of a refrigerant flowing in the plurality of indoor units, an opening of the electronic expansion valve is adjusted to a predetermined initial value, it is determined whether the optimum opening has been achieved, it is determined whether a present opening of the electronic expansion valve is within a range of the initial value if the electronic expansion valve has achieved the optimum opening, a deviation between the present opening and the initial value is calculated when the present opening is outside the range of the initial value, and the initial value is corrected on the basis of the calculated deviation to control the opening of the electronic expansion valve.
