The device has a protective net fixed to an upper fixed element i.e. building frame, and a lower fixed element i.e. building floor, at its respective upper and lower ends. The net is integrated to net tensioning units constituted of chains and cables (9), by respective rapid fixation units e.g. rapid attachment hooks. One of the tensioning units is provided with a controlled rupture unit (14) that fluctuates when subjected to a traction force higher than a preset value, where the rupture unit is constituted of rings (14a, 14b, 14c).
