CATALYST, OXIDATION CATALYST, REDUCTION CATALYST, AND EXHAUST GAS CLEANING CATALYST

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas, which does not contain platinum (Pt) as a catalyst component, oxidizes carbon monoxide (CO) and a hydrocarbon (HC) which are an exhaust gas component, and further can efficiently reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx).

SOLUTION: A composition containing a carbon atom, an iron atom, and a cerium atom is heated, thereby the catalyst is obtained. The catalyst does not contain platinum (Pt) as a catalyst component, oxidizes carbon monoxide (CO) and a hydrocarbon (HC) which are an exhaust gas component, and further can efficiently reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx).
