<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square-shaped sealed secondary battery which allows lower resistance between a core exposed portion and a collector member, and which also allows a stable quality of a welded portion as well as an improved manufacturing yield. <P>SOLUTION: At least one of a positive electrode core exposed portion 14 or a negative electrode core exposed portion 15 of an electrode body 11 is provided with an intermediate member 24 or 25 made of a resin material which is divided in two and has at least one of a coupling conductive member 24A or 25A held therebetween. A collector member 16 or 18, the core exposed portion 14 or 15 divided in two, and at least one of the coupling conductive member 24A or 25A are electrically jointed with one another by resistance-welding.
