PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effect of noise from a movable part operation during audio recording of an imaging apparatus including a movable part.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 including a movable part and capable of audio recording includes a lens control section 250 and an audio processing section 270. The lens control section 250 drives a lens mechanism 130 as the movable part in response to an operator's operation command so as to repeatedly alternate between driving and stopping the lens mechanism 130 at predetermined time intervals. In response to a signal from the lens control section 250 indicating that the lens mechanism 130 is in operation, the audio processing section 270 executes an interpolation process of replacing audio data acquired from a microphone 120 while the lens mechanism 130 is in operation with audio data stored beforehand while the lens mechanism 130 was out of operation.
