<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an installing property and extraction operability while downsizing, in a connector having a lock mechanism and a housing separated on a tip end side. <P>SOLUTION: In a connector 1 in which a tip end side of a housing 10 is separated by separated portions 11 and 12, an arm of a lock mechanism 30 is composed of two arm portions 31 and 32. One end portion of the arm portion 31 is fixed on the separate portion 11, and one end portion of the arm portion 32 is fixed on the separated portion 12. The other end portions of the arm portions 31 and 32 are coupled by a coupling portion 33. When the connector 1 is installed to a connector insertion portion of a counterpart connector 80, a partition wall provided at the connector insertion portion of the counterpart connector 80 enters between the separate portion 11 and the separated portion 12, and enters between the arm portion 31 and the arm portion 32.
