The method involves collecting and processing information regarding travel distance of motor vehicle. The energy provision amount for moving the motor vehicle is detected. The range of motor vehicle is determined according to the energy provision amount using an association rule. The climate condition is detected by measuring the predominating state, and is considered while determining the range of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is included for device for determining and displaying range of motor vehicle.
