<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a store system capable of easily providing to customers services corresponding to a carbon dioxide emission amount written in a carbon footprint attached to a commodity. <P>SOLUTION: A commodity code reading device 101 detects a code symbol attached to each commodity which is included in images photographed by a sound output part 165 and reads code information corresponding to the code symbol. The commodity code reading device 101 detects a carbon footprint attached to the commodity included in the images photographed, and reads a carbon dioxide emission amount written in the carbon footprint. The commodity code reading device 101 outputs at least one of the read code information and the read carbon dioxide emission amount as read information.
