<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more reliably notify a user of an emergency warning, while utilizing existing equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 100 includes: a tuner part 110 for receiving a digital broadcast wave; a modem part 150 communicable with an analog telephone through an analog telephone line 400; and a CPU 140 for controlling the tuner part 110 and the model part 150. The CPU 140 controls the modem part 150 to perform call origination to the analog telephone when emergency warning information is detected from the digital broadcast wave received by the tuner part 110, and controls the modem part 150 to transmit a sound signal based on the emergency warning information to the analog telephone when a call is established with the analog telephone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
