摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve and stabilize breaking performance by reviewing a structure of a heat puffer chamber to thereby enhance mechanical strength. <P>SOLUTION: A gas-blast circuit breaker comprises a heat puffer chamber 19. The heat puffer chamber 19 receives arc-extinguishing gas whose pressure is boosted by heating with energy from arc generated when a fixed contact piece 4 and a movable contact piece 11 (tulip contact piece) are separated from each other, and then blows the arc-extinguishing gas to the arc. Wall surfaces constituting the heat puffer chamber 19 comprise: a cylindrical heat puffer cylinder 14 surrounding the movable contact piece 11; an insulating nozzle 16 which has one end integrally connected to the heat puffer cylinder 14 and the other end folded inward to protrude toward the tip end of the movable contact piece 11, and which has an inner face formed into a curved surface 16b; and a reinforcing member 17 which is made of an insulating material with superior mechanical strength than that of the insulating nozzle 16, and which is arranged to cover an outer face of the insulating nozzle 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
