<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the improvement of a writing speed of a logical drive without any necessity of thinking about the coexistence of a plurality of file systems. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing unit includes first setting means and second setting means. The first setting means sets a sector size of a logical drive constituted by a plurality of memory devices to be a positive integral multiple of a stripe group capacity in which data other than a redundancy code can be stored for a stripe group.
