<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cash payout device capable of smoothly and surely transferring counted bank notes by using gravity action skillfully. <P>SOLUTION: A cash payout device D of the present invention prepares bank notes N to be paid out separately in response to a suitable command input and pays out the bank notes N to the position of a user's hand. The device includes a payout tray body 2, and a relay trough body 3 connected partially to the payout tray body 2 in a freely rotatable way. The relay trough body 3 receives the supply of the bank notes N from a back end part. As the supply proceeds, the bank notes N are changed to a forward lowered posture due to the forward lowered posture of the relay trough body 3 to be smoothly moved onto the relay trough body 3. On the other hand, the relay trough body 3 is changed from a standby posture to a horizontal posture so as to be placed in the payout tray body 2 in reaction to the forward movement of the payout tray body 2.
