<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To makes it easy for a photographer to carry out fine adjustment of an angle of view when zooming speed is switched according to the amount of operation of a zooming operation member. <P>SOLUTION: A system control section 110 of a digital camera 1 is provided with a counting function, which counts time taken for a zoom lever 3 to be operated next after a high speed zooming is carried out by the operation of the zoom lever 3.
