<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing time needed for calibration without reducing accuracy of the calibration. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 comprises: background density acquiring means 403 that acquires a background density of the intermediate transfer body from the start of the calibration until one rotation time of the intermediate transfer body elapses, and an elapsed time from the start of the calibration to the acquisition of the background density; patch density acquiring means 410 that acquires a patch density of a patch formed by patch forming means 404, and an elapsed time from the lapse of the one rotation time to the acquisition of the patch density; and background density determining means 412 that determines that the background density of an elapsed time close to that of the patch density is the background density at the position where the batch density was acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
