STEREOSCOPIC FLAT PANEL DISPLAY WITH SYNCHRONIZED BACKLIGHT, POLARIZATION CONTROL PANEL, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A stereoscopic flat panel display with a synchronized backlight, a polarization control panel, and a liquid crystal display are provided to overdrive the LCD panel to a desired state by using an excessive step switching. CONSTITUTION: A controller(1604) synchronizes a backlight driver(1607) and a pi cell driver(1608). The backlight driver controls a switch timing of a backlight segment. An LED backlight(1609) offers light to the display. A backlight diffuser(1610) offers predetermined level of light to a display panel(1611). A pi-cell(1612) switches the polarizing state between a left circular polarization and a right circular polarization.
