<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camshaft device constructed to enable low-torque drive of the camshaft to be achieved without complicating structure of the camshaft device. <P>SOLUTION: An intake camshaft device 1 includes: an intake camshaft 4; a first roll bearing 15 and a second roll bearing 16 for rotatably supporting both ends of the intake camshaft 4; and a first slide bearing 17 and a second slide bearing 18 adapted for rotatably supporting the intake camshaft 4 in between the first and the second roll bearing 15, 16. The first roll bearing 15 is disposed flush with the rotation plane of a sprocket 9 for intake cam. In other words, the first roll bearing 15 is positioned within a plane P orthogonal to a center axis C, including a plurality of teeth of the sprocket 9 for intake cam.
