<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the foam feeling of carbonated beverage without causing a negative effect on the flavor of the carbonated beverage. <P>SOLUTION: The improvement agent of the foam feeling of the carbonated beverage contains, as an effective ingredient, δ-lactone expressed by formula 1 (wherein R is a straight-chain alkyl group of 5-13 carbons, preferably, 8-11 carbons). The improvement agent of the foam feeling is added into the carbonated beverage so that the δ-lactone is 0.000001-0.01 by mass%. Accordingly, the foam when drinking can feel more creamy by adding the improving agent of the foam feeling to the carbonated beverage.
