SOLUTION: A display apparatus (2) for receiving a display signal from an information processing apparatus to display video includes a display section (6), a state information generation section (4) and a notification circuit (8). The display section (6) displays video according to the display signal. The state information generation section (4) generates state information representing the display state of the display section. The notification circuit (8) notifies the state information generated by the state information generation section to the information processing apparatus.
