<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel antibody having an antagonist activity with respect to a bitterness receptor T2R. <P>SOLUTION: The antibody is obtained by immunizing fowls or mammals with the bitterness receptor (T2R) as an antigen, and characterized by having the antagonist activity with respect to the bitterness receptor. It is preferable that the antigen is hT2R16 protein which is a human bitterness receptor, and also preferable that the antibody is prepared from an egg which is obtained by making a chicken immunized with the antigen.
