METHOD FOR TREATING MYCOTIC INFECTIONS AND DRUG FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD

For the treatment of recurring mycotic infections it is proposed to use a lytic exoenzyme of the strain Cellulomonas cellulans VKPM AS-870, which has a molecular mass within the range of 100 to 30 kD and a specific activity of not less than 48.3 active units/mg of a protein, which constitutes lyticase, and local administration means on the basis of the latter. The lytic exoenzyme exhibits a specific action directly on Candida albicans without inhibiting normal microflora on account of acting both on the mannan layer of the cell wall of Candida albicans and on the fibrous layer, with subsequent splitting off of the latter.
